Hello, everyone. We realize it’s been nearly a year since our last bit of activity, so hopefully no one thinks we’ve abandoned Paper for the Pen. The three of us have been incredibly preoccupied with the pursuit of careers (and being unemployed), moving across country (along with moving and deciding to return), and committing to marriage (while also letting go of former friends) – among many other things.
It’s been exactly ten months since we finished a six-month period of recording our album, comprised of songs that we started writing four years ago now. That’s a very long time passed. Please know that we didn’t just run out of steam and forget about sharing our music with you. In fact, it was shortly after we finished recording that we began working on getting our album artwork created. We wanted the commission to fully represent our music and were under the impression that it would be ready well before the end of the year. Unfortunately, allowing the creative process to step outside of the Paper for the Pen team resulted in an arduous five months that, in the end, left us right back where we started.
However, things are looking up! The entire project is now back within our circle of authorship and care. Kelly was able to undertake the role of designing the album artwork, and she has just recently finished creating the face of the album. We couldn’t be happier with it. In addition to this breakthrough, the three of us conceptualized a fun and unique design for the CD package and liner notes, available to those who purchase a hard copy of our album. We are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, everyone. Hopefully we won’t keep you waiting much longer. Thanks for your continued interest and support. We deeply appreciate it.
p.s. The title of our album: “It’s Okay to Change”

Rob, Kelly, and I finished recording the final portions of “Then Again” early this afternoon. After six months of hard work, amidst all of our extremely busy schedules and other responsibilities, we are glad to announce that our album is essentially complete. Thanks to everyone who has supported us over the years. We’ll soon have a finished product to share with you all. Until then, wish Rob and Kelly the best as they will be moving to Seattle next week!

Hello, anyone and everyone! Rob, Kelly, and I have each been very very busy for the past few months, so recording has slowed down as a result. Nonetheless, I’m happy to inform you that we are over halfway done with getting tracks down and hope to be finished by the end of summer.
Also, we have a SHOW coming up on Friday, July 2nd. It will be located at the Community Food CO-OP, upstairs in The Flying C cafĂ©. We will begin playing at 6:00 pm and finish around 8:00 pm. We would love to see a lot of people come out to enjoy our music, because we’ll surely be having a great time. Thanks for your support and we will see you soon.
It’s telepathy – over.
